Infinite Game Development

June 14, 2012

After a bit of harmless nerd banter on Twitter between @tomkillen and myself, I noticed how with some minor modifications, the Wikipedia Infinite loop article can be used to describe video games development.

Simply change instances of the word ‘Loop’ with ‘Games Development’ and hey-presto: the article now satirises vg dev with incredible accuracy!

“An infinite games development (also known as an endless or unproductive development) is a video games project which develops endlessly, either due to the development having no terminating condition, having one that can never be met, or one that causes the development to start over. Projects with cooperative multitasking normally cause the entire system to become unresponsive.”
